Agave Nectar Apple Butter

Ingredients:
10 - large Granny Smith apples; peeled, cored and finely chopped
2 cups Gaia Organic Agave Nectar
2 teaspoons - ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon - ground cloves
1/4 teaspoon - ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon - salt

Directions:
Place apples into a slow-cooker on high temp. Mix agave syrup and spices in a separate bowl and pour over apples. Make sure apples are covered with mixture.
Cook 8 to 9 hours at low temp, stirring occasionally until you get a dark brown and thick mixture. Remove lid and cook for one more hour.
Fill glass containers with apple butter and store in refrigerator or freezer.
You can spread apple butter on bread, use it on turkey sandwiches and eat with cottage cheese, or as side dish for pork chops, for instance.
